The Granary was once owned by John Constable's father and has been lovingly restored from an old wool store that was built C1740. Since then, the building has been a granary, steam mill and a macaroni factory. It has now been converted to a bed and breakfast with separate living accommodation.
Both of our bed and breakfast rooms are located on the ground floor, have their own doors and parking. Each of our rooms are full of character with exposed beams and leaded windows and include an en suite, flatscreen television and a personal dining area complete with kettle, toaster and fridge. Breakfast is supplied the previous evening so that you can enjoy complete flexibility and privacy.
What better way to appreciate the charm and beauty of constable country than to come and experience Flatford, at our bed and breakfast. The villages of Dedham and East Bergholt are within walking and driving distance and offer a wide range of pubs and restaurants.
